It’s the fall, when nature is once again at its most beautiful. The bright blue skies and the pleasant temperatures are on everybody’s mind and a welcome alternative topic to the still devastating economic crisis. This happens to be a crisis that did so far not hit the small designer watch label a.b.art. After winning the red dot design award 2009 this past spring the Swiss watch label has really taken off and improved in every market. And also, by launching the new series OA a.b.art has marked yet another cornerstone. For the first time in its young history an automatic watch has been created that measures up to highest expectations. Please don’t hesitate to ask us for more information about this new time-piece. New: series OA with automatic movement

After winning the red dot design award 2009 for our series O 101 this past spring the new models are now also available as mechanical watches with automatic movement. The watch enthusiasts will take the minimalist design, understated choices of materials and the well proven Swiss movement of this new a.b.art creation to their heart. There is a choice of four different dials. All models have a finely brushed stainless steel case, scratch-resistant sapphire glass, see-through mineral glass back, date indicator (rotating dot or at 6h) and ETA movement 2824-2 with 25 jewels. Suggested retail price is CHF 545.00 in Switzerland or Euro 395.00 in Europe.

Review International Jewellery London 2009

This year for the first time a.b.art uk participated at the trade show Internation Jewellery London 2009 from September 6 to 9, 2009. Collaboratively with step by step, a Swiss producer of designer jewelry whose style is as unostentatious and straightforward as a.b.art’s, we were able to showcase our company and products in the four days to about 10,000 visitors to the show. Led by David Shoesmith, the partnership of two small designer labels made the intended impression and generated many new contacts for a.b.art as well as step by step that could potentially lead to new clients. What was meant as an experiment will therefore definitely be repeated next year.

May we present: a.b.art sales agency in Austria

For all of 2009 Ms. Sylvia Mandl (sylvia.mandl@chello.at) has been responsible for the launch and maintenance of the a.b.art label in Austria. We truly appreciate that thanks to her fantastic enthusiasm Ms. Mandl makes sure that Austrians start recognizing the a.b.art philosophy. We noted that besides many specialty retail stores jewelers are interested in a.b.art who normally don’t carry watches. The pure and no-nonsense design seems to impress others besides established watch retailers.
